The Joshua Camp - the biggest mission for Catholics, in England, this year!
From the 1st -13th August, The Joshua Camp runs during the Olympics in London, and needs your help to serve on projects of Hospitality, Service and Evangelisation in key churches across the city. Called for by the Catholic Bishops' conference for England and Wales, The Joshua Camp aims to bring together groups from across England and the World to create a joyful Catholic presence in the capital.
Grow in your relationship with God, learn how to share your Faith with others and help regenerate a lasting legacy of Faith in this country.
Pope Benedict XVI asks us to “Speak with courage and Humility” of Christ as “the source of Hope for our lives”. The Olympics is the perfect opportunity to answer this call.
PERFECT FOR those who’ve never done this sort of thing before; just bring a sleeping bag, a Bible and an open heart. After 3 days of training, you’ll be sent out in teams to churches and venues across London to serve and evangelise, so whether it’s all new to you or it’s a time for you to go deeper in your faith, take a deep breath and do something wonderful for the Lord this summer!
“Dear friends, may no adversity paralyze you. Be afraid neither of the world, nor of the future, nor of your weakness. The Lord has allowed you to live in this moment of history so that, by your faith, his name will continue to resound throughout the world.”
-Pope Benedict XVI
